Siemens Financial Services (SFS) PS Americas team in the US is searching for a financial data analyst to partner with business segments and functions to help them achieve their initiatives using data driven solutions. The role is focused on gathering data insights, data analytics integration, initiating and managing data – driven process improvements. Successful candidates enjoy learning and designing with data in mind, being a key enabler and provider of the right data at the right time, using BI or visualization tools. Has a strong passion and eye for new technologies, data analytics, and digital transformation.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

Translate user requirements into a data solution design that includes creation of functional specifications, identification and mapping of source system data, rules for data extraction, cleansing, integration, and validation. Main interface for data processes (collection, processing, quality improvements, governance, etc.).

Devise methods for identifying data patterns, trends in available information sources using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Determine and recommend additional data collection and reporting requirements if needed.

Support, conduct and build visualizations for user experience and configuration elements of solution designs using tools such as Tableau. Provides training and documentation to support the roll out of solutions to end users.

Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across all functions in the organization (for example in the portfolio or financial analysis).

Identify requirements needed for process re-engineering and work with the customer to implement changes, whether digital or operation driven

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Finance or Management Information Systems; MBA or master’s degree in or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent) is a plus.

3-5 years in analytical work experience. Financial services or banking background is a plus.

Ability to consolidate, synthesize and report on complex and / or large amounts of data. Very strong financial analysis skills. Attention to detail & data accuracy Participation in data analysis efforts for multiple projects and programs of different size and complexity is a plus.

Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner.

Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.

Strong working knowledge of data bases and SQL. Experience with scripting (i.e. Python, PowerShell, or VBA) or workflow (i.e., Knime, Mendix) is a plus.

Self-starter with inquisitive, continuous improvement mindset and flexibility to take on different projects. Creative thinker who can design and implement unique solutions and designs.

Exceptional organizational & time management skills. Environment is fast-paced, and multi-tasking is essential. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously meeting deadlines; ability to work independently and make decisions.

The pay range for this position is $108,850 – $186,600 and the annual incentive target will be 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
