Sr Product Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Significantly contributes to the development and maintenance of portfolio pipeline/roadmap and marketing plan.

Develops product specific targeting and positioning, aids in development of similar on portfolio level.

Contributes to the identification/scoping of new product opportunities.
-
Very good understanding of multiple product categories within the business, seen as an SME in one or more categories. Fields technical/product related questions for multiple categories within the business.
-
Influence and execute upon Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) strategy for one or multiple categories within the business.
-
Independently develops pricing for responsible areas/products consistent with Marketing strategy and brand positioning.
-
Leads development of new marketing channels and tools.
-
Lead customer facing activities like VOC (voice of customer) and CCD (customer centric design).
-
Partner with customers, internal and external key opinion leaders (KOLs) to develop strategies that meet clinical/business needs.
-
Leads multiple members of a cross-functional team along with key internal/external stakeholders to through new product development (NPD) process.
-
Oversees all packaging design and labeling for responsible product(s), ensuring conformance to all regulatory standards for both domestic and international markets.

Stay focused on the essentials (driving clarity into situations) while solving the most important business requirements first.

Continuously analyze trade research on the product offerings inclusive of competitive, client, pricing and industry trending to develop offerings that compliment company portfolio and provide our customers an advantage in attracting/retaining their clients.

Provide new ideas and concepts that contribute to enhanced customer experience (and their clients), expand product capabilities and set us apart from our competition.

Serve as a direct customer advocate and as an advocate for our customer clients in product / services development.

Ability to prioritize product requirements and develop phased plans. Work across internal (and external) teams on the development of various products and initiatives to launch new products successfully as well as working with internal marketing and data scientists to prototype new approaches.

Manage vendor relationships as appropriate for product development and supply.

Continuously monitor, measure and report on key business metrics. Identify areas for improvement.

Develop business cases for appropriate investment levels based on market demand, customer pain and strategic goals.

Become the go to company resource on assigned product(s)

Visit customers and attend industry events.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Must be proficient in project management knowledge & skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Possesses excellent public presentation skills both internal and external customer-facing at industry trade shows and customer locations

Demonstrates leadership on and participate in cross-functional team(s)

Demonstrates the development of products that are innovative and unique leveraging an understanding of the challenges already existing in current products

Demonstrates knowledgeable and skills of vendor and partnership management

Knowledge of Medical Device Regulations preferred

Technical background in product development preferred

Knowledge of the Dental market including the business of dentistry is preferred

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelors Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Masters degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $71,993-$125,987, which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
