Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
Pharmacy technicians will review Prior Authorizations for determination for a department that is part of a large healthcare insurance company. Responsibilities include approving or denying authorizations and then sending them to a Pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and all types of medications. Other duties include processing prescription exceptions, resolving claim rejects, conducting member and physician outreach, entering member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system, researching and resolving rejected insurance billing issues, and assisting with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls. Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.

This is a fully remote position.
Work Environment
This is a professional remote environment. You will work in multiple screens and within multiple systems. You must have strong wifi and your own office space with a closed door. Shift: Must be open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm in the time zone you live in, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks. Must be able to work some holidays. Training will be 10am-6:30pm EST. After training, you will receive your regular shift. Must have wifi, workspace, and a smartphone. Equipment such as a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided
