Description:
The role of the Group Exercise Instructor is to support the respiratory navigator in providing a range of care and therapy interventions for people who have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Bronchiectasis and other chronic lung conditions. Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists.
Perform 6MWT / Field testing and oximetry testing
Ability to function effectively in a fluid, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment
Use judgement and initiative to produce exercise programs, develop them and see them through to completion
On-going data input which enables statistics to be collated from this Information.
Basic understanding of pulmonary disease management and respiratory care services including home health durable medical equipment
Able to work with patients to build relationships and develop methods for self -care
Knowledge of chronic conditions, evidence-basedguidelines, prevention, wellness, health risk assessment, and patient education
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills, and critical analysis skills.
General computer knowledge
Minimum qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Bachelors degree in Exercise Science or Health Sciences is required.
BLS from American Heart Association
