Packing Support – Day Shift

This position is responsible to support all areas of Production to produce a finished product which meets internal manufacturing customer specifications and all Quality, Food Safety, and Food Defense requirements.

Pay:
$17.58 / hour
Responsibilities:
Workday shift from 7:00AM – 7:30PM
Read and follow directions correctly, written and verbal, continuously.
Stand and walk on a cement floor, continuously.
Bend and lift, using proper lifting techniques, up to 50 lbs., occasionally.
Climb and balance on an 18 to 20 ft. ladder, occasionally.
Twist at waist and reach at or below shoulder height, frequently.
Ability to support production at line standards, continuously (i.e.: bag tucking, packing/stacking, component placing).
Ability to operate packaging equipment at standard, occasionally.
Ability to work in high and confined spaces, occasionally.
Ability to complete product and packaging change overs on equipment, occasionally.
Ability to fill and transfer bulk bags up to 50 lbs. to meet standard efficiencies, occasionally.
Skills & Experience:

Required to conduct work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards, as well as following safety protocols. Must be willing to be responsible for your safety and health, along with the safety and health of all employees, vendors, and visitors.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Accurate reading, math, and organizational skills.
Food processing and packaging machinery experience preferred.

(2) Excellent Pay – Starting pay is $17.58 per hour for the entry level. After next level certification, the support position can expect a significant corresponding increase, AND there are annual level increases based on market and budget factors. Additional achieved levels pay even more and perform project work and leadership tasks.
(3) Incentive Pay – Quarterly bonus incentives – earn up to 7% per quarter based on safety, quality, and other metrics.
