Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work on various types of machinery, including 6 mechanical presses (150lb – 2000lb), resistance welding machines, pedestal welders, robotic welding machines, and MIG welding machines. Your responsibilities include rebuilding equipment and components such as cylinders and clamps, installing power supply wiring and conduits for new machines, diagnosing and replacing malfunctioning apparatus, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, repairing large presses and welders, and maintaining the facility as needed. Additionally, you will install new machinery and ensure all equipment operates efficiently.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a manufacturing setting with propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components, and assemblies. The facility houses 7 presses ranging from 300-2500 tons, over 20 welders including pedestal welders and dedicated weld cells. The position is unionized under UAW Local 2000. The starting pay is $32.50/hr with additional pay for second and third shifts. The role offers paid breaks, shift differentials, and opportunities for overtime. You will train on the first shift for 30-90 days before transitioning to your assigned shift. Shift times are as follows: 1st shift: 6am-2pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, 3rd shift: 10pm-6am. Sundays are double time, and Saturday nights are applicable for 3rd shift.
