This recruiting initiative allows us to hire long term for our Lebanon, IN operation with an immediate assignment in one of our Puerto Rico manufacturing sites. More detail on this focus will be provided through the interview process.
Outline of Role:
The mission of the Process Engineer – API Manufacturing is to utilize sound engineering principles to safely create, qualify, maintain and continuously improve the processes, facilities and equipment needed to deliver our product
pipeline across batch and continuous API production and development. These results are accomplished by utilizing various elements of the engineering discipline including, but not limited to: first principles, lean manufacturing, and
simulation/modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide process engineering support in batch or continuous API platforms through application of chemical engineering fundamentals.
Monitor, assess, and document equipment performance to maintain ongoing qualification.
Develop and maintain the basis of safety for process equipment.
Integrate mechanistic modelling, process simulation, and analysis into current and future processes to enhance process understanding and control.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to equipment and processes as a core member of a cross-functional process team.
Lead/support the tech transfer of new processes and unit operations across batch and continuous processing platforms.
Utilize root cause analysis techniques to investigate process and equipment issues and deliver robust and sustainable corrective and preventative actions.
Share learning and knowledge across business functions and units through the publication of technical reports and presentation of project results.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Chemical, Bioprocess, or Process Engineering
2 years’ experience in a cGMP environment
Candidate must be mobile to Puerto Rico

Ability to work independently, self-sufficiently, and pro-actively in the performance of work duties.
Ability to resolve conflict and promote good decision making among team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to work within and lead diverse, multi-functional teams (i.e. engineering, manufacturing operations, TS/MS, etc.).
Demonstrated problem solving, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Analysis and PC skills including appropriate modeling and math capabilities
Ability to identify and resolve issues with minimal direction.
