Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our expanding team. In this role, you will help assemble small parts to engine manifolds, add washers, utilize torque tools to tighten to specific measurements, and add bolts on coolers. You will follow step-by-step instructions, add oil when required, and perform bench assembly work. Additional duties include minor paint touch-ups, completing final inspections, ensuring order and inventory accuracy, and assisting in loading completed assemblies into crates. You will use pneumatic tools such as grinders, air ratchets, impact guns, and rivet guns. Responsibilities also include steam cleaning pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips, dipping parts into rust remover, oiling parts prior to packaging, and preparing workpieces for shipping.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dyer, Indiana.

Work Environment

Train on day shift, then move to 3rd shift. Steel toes are required. The facility has 120 employees and is expanding to add three total shifts. It is an older facility split into two separate buildings and can be loud, dirty, hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. You will work in specific departments with a supervisor and set team. The facility includes large areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems. Efforts are underway to upgrade the facility.
