Sales Associate – Strategic Accounts

This is a remote position. Ideal candidate will be located near a major airport and travel to customer locations as needed.

The Sales Associate is an entry-level development position offering an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to develop the necessary sales skills and experience to be promoted into a field sales territory. An individual in this position will be mentored through product and sales training, as well as advanced corporate training, to develop into a successful sales representative within Cardinal.

Through a mix of in-servicing and field-based selling experiences, a Sales Associate will coordinate, sell, and support Cardinal assigned products achieving sales objectives in all categories in the Department they support, as well as develop/support clinical and distributor relationships.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Strategic Account sales team and customers under the leadership and direction of a Strategic Account Director. This position would be responsible for products within the Cardinal Health brand portfolio and would include responsibilities of managing Enteral contracts and operations, coordinating in-services, troubleshooting, assisting with conferences and product rollouts, analyzing GPO tier reports, assisting with open territories, and other tasks identified by Extended Care management. A strong emphasis will be placed on the Incontinence and Enteral Feeding category.

Provide in-service support (technical, clinical and educational) to Extended Care customers on an as-needed basis – covering opening territories or urgent requests. Primary product categories include but are not limited to Enteral Feeding, Enteral Access, Incontinence, Advanced Wound Care, Urology, Venous Solutions, and Monitoring and OR products.

Position reports to the Strategic Account Director and is responsible for increasing and promoting the sales of the Cardinal Health brand product lines by assisting the team members.

Sales Associates will follow the same training curriculum as an Account Representative including Field Training and Advanced Corporate Training. Thorough training will allow individual to make fluent and effective presentations of all Patient Recovery products.

Individual will assist in coordinating and conducting in-services, educational events, value added programs at accounts identified by the National Account Director.

Individual will assist in coordinating and monitoring product evaluations as determined by the Strategic Account team member.

Position will support activity in open territories (promotions, terminations, extended leaves, etc…).

Increase knowledge base through attendance of educational programs / seminars / conferences; reading journals and participating in committee or group programs.

Position will have access to internal systems to assist in maintaining and renewing Enteral Feeding contracts. Specific enteral responsibilities include: data verification and inputs, contracting operations support, compliance improvement, monitoring supply chain, and support with revenue growth objectives.

May assist in preparing for large meetings, as identified by the Strategic Account Director, including creating presentations, preparing sample packs and literature, and assist in the actual meeting.

Will assist Strategic Account team members with certain administrative tasks (ie: cross references and pricing analysis).

Position will analyze GPO reports to identify opportunities for “tier level clean-up” and provide summaries to the Strategic Account team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Minimum of 1 year sales or marketing experience, preferred

Strong drive for results; action oriented; strong work ethic and career ambition; ability to develop and present complex product demonstrations.

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Anticipated pay range: $60,000-$65,000
