T he DCC Engineer/Specialist ensures the facility configuration documentation is updated and aligned with the design requirements and physical configuration, from major and minor modifications and updates to documentation for installation, operation and maintenance of equipment . The configuration documentation updates are critical to ensure personnel safety for our clearance process (lock-out/tag-out) and our regulatory requirements . The DCC Engineer/Specialist is the liaison between Design Engineering and Operations for the turnover of Engineering Modifications.

Responsibilities: – As a member of Design Engineering Configuration Control Department
Monitor installation, inspection, testing, and turnover activities, and facilitates resolution of issues as they arise.
Support Lead Engineers with processing Field Change Notices including field walkdowns if needed.
Supports Lead Engineers with RTO’s (Release To Operations) of modifications including post installation walkdowns.
Coordinate and resolve installation, testing, RTO and Closeout OIC’s (Open Items and Constrains) for modifications to
Support installation within the schedule.
Monitor modification installation progress, schedule adherence and provide installation support of modifications.
Update and maintain the Maximo Database with equipment and document changes.
Work Designation:
4×10 schedule
Hybrid with two (2) days in the office/at the plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
– Identifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to highly complex problems that are unique to the company and industry and requires specialized knowledge of equipment and/or problem-solving techniques.
– Exhibits advanced-level proficiency plus unique technical knowledge that allows effective leadership and participation in recommended courses of action, outages, projects, and assignments in a safe, efficient, and economical manner.
– Leads, facilitates, and coordinates work activities of others within work group, team, or those external to the company and assumes the role of project or function manager for assigned tasks.
– Organizes and leads outages/projects and task forces as assigned.
– Projects credibility and competence on technical issues and has highly developed presentation skills.
– Identifies and initiates appropriate corrective action when objectives are not being met.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education : bachelors degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Biology or Chemistry; or, associate Degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited school with eight (8) years nuclear experience; OR,
High school diploma / GED with twelve (12) years of experience in the nuclear industry.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical demand level is Sedentary
– Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
– Broad knowledge of nuclear standards and nuclear policies, practices and procedures.
– Demonstrates problem solving skills.
Physical Demands:
– May perform walk downs in plant environment which may include exposure to: heat, cold, noise, and radiation exposure.
– Perform duties that may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC.
