Environmental Services System Educator – Full Time – Day Shift – Jackson, MI

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Educator will develop, implement, maintain and facilitate training programs for all HFHS Environmental Service team members. They will monitor and manage overall EVS department customer satisfaction. In collaboration with EVS leadership and/or hospital leaders, the Educator will determine the time frame, positions and methods needed to build bench strength for internal promotion and improved services.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with design of internal training programs, including formulating lesson plans and determining training methods.
2. Develop learning strategies and plans with business unit leaders based upon deficiencies identified in a needs assessment.
3. Ensure consistent training practices meet HFHS business initiatives and regulatory compliances.
4. Develop, implement and facilitate training sessions and workshops for team members.
5. Identify training requirements and participate in the development and implementation of training plans.
6. Actively listen to concerns/request of customers and stakeholders, in order to identify their needs and resolve their problems.
7. Serve as resource/consultant to all customers with HFHS.
8. Educate and develop rapport with internal/external customer and promote partnership by seeking feedback and responding to customer requests.
9. Promote a patient centered care culture that strives to exceed customer and patient needs, requirements and expectations.
10. Conduct standup training to groups of team members.
11. Maintain and develop competency assessments for all HFHS EVS staff.
12. Analyze course evaluations to judge effectiveness of training sessions and to implement improvements.
13. Conduct all HFHS EVS training sessions and keep records for compliance.
14. Develop maintain and introduce training module supporting infection prevention, patient experience, safety and proper machine use.
15. Collaborate with HFHS HR Talent Selection Team for new hire selection and onboarding.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Three to five (3-5) years of healthcare Housekeeping experience required.
Housekeeping training experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
