Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer to join our team. This position offers flexible working hours (6 AM-2 PM or 8 AM-4 PM) and involves working with Tsugami CNC machines. You will be working with a total of 4 CNC machines, adding a 5th in March (3 mills, 1 lathe – Haas). Experience with multiple-axis machines and Swiss lathe machining is essential. You will be responsible for setups, running, and editing programs (feed/speed adjustments at the machine). The materials used include titanium, cobalt chromium, stainless steel, and some aluminum fixtures. Material thickness ranges from 3 inches on mills to about 1.25 inches on the lathe. Tolerances are within a couple of thousandths. Changeovers are typically twice per shift. You will be measuring using thread gauges, optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers. You will work alongside another operator and may have the opportunity to train them in the future. Responsibilities also include cutting your own material with a standard saw and maintaining good communication with quality control.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Air-conditioned environment (temp controlled), very clean as it involves medical supplies, monthly team lunches provided, minimal weekends (not currently mandatory), dress code includes tennis shoes, joggers, and jeans.
