We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting our data warehouse reporting solutions, which are critical to our key applications. We are transitioning from a 24/5 to a 24/7 operational model, and we need someone who is willing to help us achieve this goal.

Skills and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Support and maintain data warehouse solutions using Oracle and Snowflake.

Utilize DataStage, dbt tool for Snowflake, Tableau, and some PowerBI for data warehousing and reporting.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries.

Use FiveTran for data integration.

Automate processes using Skybox Scheduler and Autosys.

Manage development, testing, and production environments.

Use ITSM tools for incident management and change control.

Promote changes from one environment to another.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience (5 years preferred) in data engineering.

Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries.

Experience with DataStage, dbt tool for Snowflake, Tableau, and PowerBI.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Familiarity with FiveTran and scheduling tools like Skybox Scheduler and Autosys.

Experience with ITSM tools and promoting changes across environments.

Skills:

Strong diagnostic skills to respond to and resolve batch job failures.

Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work overnight shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.

Responsibilities:

Respond immediately to batch job failures, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.

Perform project work during the day when batch jobs are running smoothly.

Communicate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to resolve issues.
