Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity for a Information Technology Security Director at Twin Dental Lab in Falcon Heights, MN.

The regular days for this position are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Strategy & Planning

Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration, cybersecurity administration, and project management.

Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the technology executive team.

Lead strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology.

Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure & cybersecurity procurement and development efforts.

Establish service level agreements with business units.

Acquisition & Deployment

Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure & cybersecurity projects and associated efforts.

Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure & cybersecurity specific products and services.

Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.

Operational Management

Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, and so on.

Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.

Assess, prioritize, and establish proper data protection, backups, recovery, and testing procedures that meets the companies RPO and RTO metrics.

Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.

Define network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.

Define server performance and provide server performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.

Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.

Develop, review, and modify information security and privacy policies.

Design and execute audit procedures to assess and measure company compliance with its security policies and procedures.

Monitor advancements in information privacy laws to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.

Determine whether a security incident violates a privacy principle or legal standard requiring legal action

Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.

Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.

Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.

Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification

Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Experience

10years’ experience managing and delivering infrastructure & cybersecurity design and operational teams.

Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.

7 years successful leadership of an infrastructure team.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, data and voice networks, and cybersecurity tools.

Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including

Demonstrated excellence deploying and managing complex and distributed infrastructure environments including:

Distributed directory services including cloud-based solutions

Branch Network Management

Distributed print and file services

SD-WAN and LAN administration

Enterprise-wide EDR, XDR, SIEM, SOC, PAM, Vulnerability solutions,

Distributed firewall solutions (Cisco experience preferred)

Virtualization technologies (VMware experience preferred)

Enterprise Storage Area Networks

IP Telephony experience

Unified communication and collaboration experience (O365)

Corporate intranet experience

Enterprise backup and recovery technologies (Veeam preferred)

Database technologies (MS SQL Server preferred)

Management of hybrid compute and storage (branch, on premise, cloud, SaaS) primary/secondary)

Acquisition integration experience

Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations. Knowledge of and experience with legal and regulatory compliance standards (NIST 800-23, ePHI, HIPAA, , etc.].

Strong background in ITSM general controls including security and change management

Budgetary management experience including P.O., invoice reviews and approvals.

Demonstrated ability to work with vendors through selection, negotiation, implementation, production support, and separation

Experience managing and coaching other team members.

Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g. methods for assessing and mitigating risk).

Current knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Work Conditions:

Work location Minneapolis/St Paul hybrid remote/office

On-call availability.

Sitting for extended periods of time.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.

Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.

Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
