Job Title: Material Handler – Warehouse
Pay Rate: $26.35/hr
Shifts: 2nd and 3rd shifts available
Summary:
This position involves receiving, locating, and issuing raw materials as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Responsibilities also include locating, moving, pulling, packing, and loading frozen products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operation of all warehouse-related equipment (box lifter, truck, reefer, bailer, etc.)
Interpretation and adherence to procedures
Solving problems independently
Utilizing computer systems efficiently
Driving and handling vehicles (forklift, walkie rider, straight truck, and tractor-trailer on-site)
Unloading trucks, receiving, locating, picking, releasing, handling P.O. inquiries, packing slip processing, and delivering production and MRO items
Maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment
Performing monthly inventory cycle counts as requested
Handling miscellaneous facility requests (e.g., moving furniture, delivering copy paper) and performing light building maintenance (e.g., painting)
Locating, transporting, and building finished good loads for shipment, including batch dropping for retentions and inventory management
Maintaining attendance in accordance with the RLD Attendance Policy
Mandatory overtime as required
Work Environment:
Work in frozen environments (-25ºC) up to five hours per day
Temperature fluctuates between 40ºF and 105ºF for the remainder of the time
Qualification Requirements:
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting label and directional insert dispensing equipment
Effective communication and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Computer literacy
Familiarity with standard operating procedures, specifications, and job-specific training materials
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment preferred
Language Skills:
Proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills required
Reasoning Ability:
Decision making based on standard operating procedures and good judgment
Independent decision making and responsiveness
Ability to prioritize work, release products, and evaluate defective products
Utilization of resources such as technicians, supervisors, managers, engineering, quality management, specifications, SOP’s, and manuals
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license and license to operate forklifts
Willingness to obtain Class C license
Physical Demands:
Non-allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin drugs
Visual acuity of 20/40 Near Vision with or without corrective vision
Frequent lifting up to 70 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds or greater
Constant bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping
Frequent kneeling, squatting, and wrist turning
Occasional crawling, climbing, and pinching
Hearing capability of at least 25 Db in 5
