Position Overview:

We have a full-time School Social Worker opening in a structured and highly supportive school in Woodstock, IL! This elementary-focused position will be supporting students in 2 life skills classrooms, as well as general education students.  Here you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. As the only Social Worker, you will have creative freedom during sessions to work with kids.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage a general education caseload through social, emotional, and academic enrichment programs

Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students

Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students  

Address legal issues

Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan

Collaboration with staff, families, and community resources

Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success

Support student goals as described by their IEP or 504

Qualifications:

Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois

Professional Educator License (PEL)

Preferred experience in a K-12 setting
