Refrigeration Maintenance

Tasks

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the
refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and
adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

– Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and
fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
– Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related
computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
– Must be willing to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally and be able to
work on your feet, moving throughout the facility for a period of 12
hours
– Must be willing to work in temperatures ranging from about -10F
through about 110F occasionally
– Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
– Other Duties: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electric
pallet moving equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
on Industrial Refrigeration systems. Perform preventive maintenance
and repairs on building and grounds. Perform preventative
maintenance on batteries, battery chargers, battery racks, and carts
as needed. Train in Hazmat and safety procedures and be respirator
certified. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

– Refrigeration Maintenance positions require that you meet one of the
following:
– You are currently enrolled in an Ammonia Refrigeration
Maintenance Program (proof of enrollment is required), OR
– You have one year of classroom training from a Technical College
or have graduated from a technical college with a certification
in Ammonia Refrigeration Maintenance (proof of training is
required with a passing grade) OR
– Have one year of experience working in Ammonia Refrigeration
Maintenance
– Other Requirements: Applicant must live in one of the following
counties to be considered: AR: Washington, Madison, Benton. MO:
McDonald.
– You must have three months of work history within the last six
months to be considered for these positions.
– If the applicant provides proof of enrollment in Ammonia
Refrigeration Maintenance OR proof they graduated within the
last six months, the requirement for 3 of the last 6 months of
work history will be waived.

C Shift Schedule

– Wednesday 11:00am – 6:30pm
– Thursday – Saturday 6:00am-6:00pm

Prior Tyson members have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180
days.
