How Youll Contribute to the Team:
The Inventory Coordinator supports the Facility Director in implementing installation level inventory and warehouse management strategies. Leading the day-to-day operations and local inventory and warehouse team, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for fostering an environment of teamwork, accountability, safety, efficiency, and superior customer service, ensuring maintenance teams have the parts on hand to perform timely maintenance and repair work on residents’ homes.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Serve as a hands-on leader, performing and overseeing all aspects of inventory and warehouse management at an assigned location. Responsibilities include, but not limited to,: preparing purchase orders, auditing inventory, unloading and stocking inventory, organizing warehouse, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and cleaning protocols.
Support Property Operations maintenance teams by maintaining appropriate inventory levels of parts necessary to complete work orders and turnovers. Analyze product and supply levels to anticipate inventory needs and avoid shortages.
Work with Facility Director to actively evaluate warehousing strategies and ensure the business function meets the needs of the maintenance teams.
Collaborate with colleagues from other installation warehouses to share best practices, working towards common inventory and warehouse optimization strategies.
Update Property Management software for inventory control and asset distribution.
Prepare and review ad hoc and regularly scheduled reports; ensure all information is accurate and available within required timeframes. Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory.
Review MOS and verify accuracy. Ensure timely receipt and processing of invoices. Track spend against budget and understand variances.
Coordinate the timely repair of installation equipment ensuring equipment is fully operational prior to use.
Lead the recruitment and retention of diverse teams of professionals; create accountability and ownership among team members through communication of clear expectations, supervision, and provision of timely performance feedback.
Model the highest standards of business professionalism; lead the training and development of team members through coaching, motivating, and mentoring on company culture, safety protocols, business goals, and superior customer service.
Perform all duties of an Assistant Inventory Coordinator as needed.
Own and execute special projects as directed by local Property Management leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Role Specific Requirements Include:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
6 years’ experience in facilities or warehouse inventory management environment with 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or coordinating capacity.
EPA Certification required. Knowledgeable in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste products such as refrigerants, ballasts, batteries, fluorescents, etc.
Working knowledge of data analysis and inventory planning and forecasting methods.
Demonstrated ability to organize individual and team activities to ensure operations are highly productive and meet or exceed business goals. Ability to lead a team that is focused on collaboration and accountability.
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to make timely decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, financial impact, and risks.
Computer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and property management software.
Required to provide and maintain own basic hand and power tools related to work requirements.
Valid driver’s license required and ability to operate a company vehicle.
