About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to support the Commercial Banking Control Management Issues Management program team. We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented individual to join our Control Management Risk Program team as a Commercial Banking Issue Management Lead Officer. This role is pivotal in driving the execution of the Issues Management program across all Commercial Banking lines of business. The ideal candidate will also serve as the primary liaison with the Enterprise Issues Management team, ensuring alignment, supporting changes, and leading implementation efforts to maintain the highest standards of adherence and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact

Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area

Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies

Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls

Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

Lead Control Management project or virtual teams

Required Qualifications, US:

5 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Required Qualifications, International:

Experience in Risk Management, Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Direct experience with Issue Management Life Cycle and issue & corrective action remediation

Knowledge and understanding of the issues Management System of Record: Veritas

Knowledge and understanding on Control Programs including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), executing the RCSA (risk identification, risk assessment – inherent/residual, and control design and Issue Management

Proficient in Issues Management & Escalations Policy & Procedures and understanding of how they are implemented, managed and enforced

Knowledge and understanding of the Internal Control Policy (ICP)

Experience with Wells Fargos Control processes, including policy implementation and major requirement review and control alignment.

Ability to independently execute Policy Analysis and determine horizontal applicability

Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards or scorecards

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong collaboration and partnering skills

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Technical Writing skills

Job Expectations:

Strong interpersonal, influencing and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.

The ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the business and partners aligned to all levels of the Control organization.

Position offers a hybrid work schedule in which you are required to work in office 3 days per week at a minimum in one of the locations listed below

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 – $197,500.00
