Admissions Specialist – Collections Full Time Days
We’re looking for qualified Admissions Specialists like you to join our Texas Health family.
Work location: Texas Health Southlake – 1545 E Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092
Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Training: Must be able to attend training at the Texas Health Resources corporate office located in Arlington during the first week of hire.
Admissions Department Highlights:
Compassionately registers/checks patients in for whatever care theyre receiving
Provides information, when needed, related to their personal rights as a patient
Serves as the first face people see when they walk in the door
Here’s What You Need:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
· 1 year of relevant customer service experience required
· 2 years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred
What You Will Do:
Providing an excellent patient healthcare experience at each Texas Health site, this candidate will obtain and verify demographics, review insurance benefits, prepare cost estimates, collect coins/copays, complete MSPQ as needed and accomplish patient education, regulatory requirements and all duties set forth in Patient Access Services. Proficient in all assigned Patient Access areas, cross trained in multiple workflows and extensive customer service.
Ability to promptly assess requests by using electronic and paper resource materials and correctly respond to patient inquiries.
Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills, with attention to details.
Proficient computer skills, medical terminology, Epic, Microsoft Office and assorted software programs.
Exhibits a pleasant, professional, polished presence exhibiting the ability to troubleshoot utilizing critical thinking skills.
Requires exceptional listening, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional, pleasant and respectful telephone etiquette.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, to include crime, behavioral health and suffering patients in addition to life-or-death situations.
Must be able to exhibit a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and family members during life changing events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
