This opportunity allows interns to acquire valuable knowledge and experience in the banking industry with a focus on retail banking operations and professional development. We are looking to fill 12-16 internship positions across the state of Colorado / Denver Metro area. The Retail Banking Internship is a 7-8week foundational program for individuals interested in pursuing careers in retail banking.
Over the course of an intern’s training at FirstBank, they will obtain experience in bank operations through the shadowing of multiple roles within FirstBank branches. Participants will see a high-level overview of how a bank branch is run with opportunities to build on their knowledge in management, lending, and leadership by completing relevant tasks and projects that enhance professional development. Interns will receive an overview of how internal departments interact with the branches and help contribute to the success of the entire organization. It is FirstBank’s goal to provide a valuable and rewarding experience to our interns.
After completion of the internship program, Retail Banking Interns have the opportunity to apply for a multitude of roles within the bank. Interns applying for a branch or headquarters position can be hired after the internship and prior to graduation. Interns can also apply for the Management Trainee Program after graduation. The Management Trainee Program is a six-month program that prepares individuals for an Officer role within the bank.
