The Emission Technician monitors emissions levels and keeps engines operating in compliance with permitted levels. Performs machinery/engine exhaust emission analysis and implements multiple types of analysis methods, equipment and software programs.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Performs air and exhaust system repairs on engines to insure proper performance and permit compliance.

• Troubleshoots and performs repairs or adjustments as needed to engines with emission air fuel control systems to obtain the permitted emission levels, while maintaining proper performance

• Makes necessary adjustments with Caterpillar ET, Waukesha ESM, Altronic EPC systems (CPU95, 100, 150, 200 etc.), Siemens Panel and Motor-Tech Ignition Systems

• Assists local mechanics in trouble shooting engines, compressors and plant equipment as needed.

• Maintains and calibrates analysis equipment by the state, federal and manufactures recommendations and obtain the required documentation.

• Applies understanding air emissions and control devices according to federal, state and manufacturing regulations to ensure compliance of equipment performance.

• Operates emission monitoring equipment and knowledgeable with software and compliance computer programs.

• Communicates with internal Environmental specialist and external Environmental agencies.

• Maintains accurate documentation/records for all emissions testing for audit purposes.

• Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• 2 or more years of experience with mechanical maintenance of reciprocating engines, and emissions monitoring with analysis equipment

• Valid driver’s license

• To travel up to 35% of the time

• Must live/relocate within 35 miles of reporting location.

• Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:

o Regularly stoops, squats, kneels, and crouches for durations up to 30 minutes.

o To frequently climb up to 50 feet using both inclined, vertical steps, and A-frame ladders

o Lift up to 50 pounds

o Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds – pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant.

o To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)

o To work inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.

o To work in loud environment

o To work callouts or overtime on an as-needed basis

o To work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of experience in oil and gas industry

• Experience working on Caterpillar ET, Waukesha ESM, Altronic EPC systems (CPU95,100,150, 200 etc.), Siemens Panel and Motor-Tech Ignition Systems

• Possess thorough knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines and reciprocating compressors and turbines.

• Knowledge and understanding of internal combustion engines, compressors and plant equipment.

• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Midstream

Phillips 66s Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this role is $93,100.00 – $111,300.00 depending on candidates relevant work experience and education.

This position is eligible for the Phillips 66 geographic differential pay program. Details and terms to be conveyed in offer of employment.
