Job Title: Cost Accountant
Job Description
Provides support to customer service with make parts costing.
Reviews make parts in stockroom area.
eviews similar jobs to determine the reason for variances.
Works with the sales department in the review of equipment pricing.
Manages the cost accounting functions and standard cost system.
Collects data to generate labor cost reports.
Compares and contrasts changes affecting production design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, and rate changes.
Creates reports comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
Develops and improves cost control methods and calculating costs.
Takes the initiative to investigate and solve problems.
Works collaboratively with others and fosters cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Generates a monthly Cost Shipment report.
Adheres to ethical principles that reflect the highest standards of organization and individual behavior and complies with all government regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
