Event Steward -
Were seeking for anEvent Stewardto join our TERI team!
The Event Steward is responsible for supporting customers needs by answering questions, coordinating areas, cleaning, and ensuring a high standard of facilities and service. This role requires a friendly, personable, and professional demeanor. The steward will represent the event by providing guests with clean areas, courteous assistance, and a well-organized environment. A strong motivation for excellent customer service and attentiveness to guest needs are essential.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
– Sets up, arranges, and removes tables, chairs, and other items used to prepare facilities/rooms for events such as banquets and meetings.
– Receives and distributes supplies to a variety of locations throughout the Institute which may require walking with carts depending on the distance.
– Notifies supervisory personnel about repairs and/or maintenance needs in accordance with established procedures.
– Vacuums floor coverings and upholstered furniture using backpack vacuums or upright machines as appropriate for each location; transports vacuum to subsequent location.
– Inspect designated area(s) to assess scope of necessary cleaning.
– The ability to pick up and dispose of all trash into appropriate trash barrels.
QUALIFICATIONS -
– High School Diploma or General Education (GED).
– One-Year related experience and/or training in custodian.
– Ability to deal with personnel or situations in a discrete and professional manner.
Salary Range -
$17 Hourly
