The Cape & Islands District Attorneys Office serves all of the people
of the Cape & Islands, we have offices in Barnstable, Orleans, Falmouth,
Edgartown & Nantucket. We are seeking a full time Administrative
Assistant to work Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm in our Barnstable
office. This is an in-person position & prior administrative experience
is preferred but not required. The Administrative Assistant is
responsible for a variety of tasks, including answering phones, filing
documents, preparing reports, data entry, client outreach & providing
general office support. The ideal candidate will have excellent
organizational skills, the ability to multitask & prioritize tasks, & a
commitment to providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities:
Greet visitors & direct them to the appropriate staff member. Answer
phone calls & emails in a timely manner. Organize & maintain filing
systems. Maintain office supplies & equipment. Perform data entry tasks
as needed. Provide general administrative support to staff members.
Other duties assigned. Qualifications: Prior administrative experience
preferred. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Excellent
interpersonal & customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills & attention
to detail. Basic understanding of clerical procedures & systems such as
recordkeeping & filing. Ability to work independently. Must be able to
manage prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk & working at a
computer. Will occasionally be required to stand & stoop, kneel, or
crouch, & must frequently lift &/or move up to 10 pounds & occasionally
