POSITION – Union: Lead Line Worker T&D (1/C T&D acceptable)
NUMBER OF VACANCIES: 1
LOCATION: CMP-ME-Belfast Serv Building
REPORTS TO: SARAH MAZUREK
Responsibilities
– Has a thorough knowledge of the Safety Instructions and Process,
performs the work safely, and Coaches and Instructs coworkers.
– Plans, Directs, and Shares in the work of the Line Crews.
– Lead all assigned jobs and is responsible for Safety, Supervision,
and Production.
– Performs all of the duties of a Line Worker 1/C.
– Has a thorough knowledge of the Distribution and Transmission plant
in the assigned area.
– Interprets WMS Designs and SXs in order to Plan, Schedule, and
Coordinate work.
– Prepares reports and records as may be necessary.
– Directs the Work and assists in the training of co-workers.

– Represents the Company in the field.
– Is thoroughly familiar with, and trains others in the proper use of
the tools, equipment, and instruments of the trade.
– Has a thorough knowledge of the Companys Operating Standards,
policies and directives pertaining to the assignment, and assures
that work is carried out in conformance with these standards.
– Fills in for Line Supervisor when assigned. Available for overtime
and emergency work.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
– Must currently be a Line Worker 1/C T&D with a minimum of one year
on a CMP Line Crew.
– Must meet pre-qualification requirements listed in the “Lead Line
Worker Pre-Qualification Requirements” package on file with the
Human Resources Department.
– Must successfully complete ongoing annual skill assessments.
– Must have a valid Class A drivers license unless you were a
Lineworker with a Class B drivers license prior to 7/1/2009, a
good record of safe driving and any other permits or licenses
requirements for the job.
– Is subject to the Company random drug and alcohol testing policy.
– Must reside within an acceptable distance (45 minutes) from their
regular reporting location or be willing to relocate within nine
months of transfer and be available for emergency assignments.

– Must have technical knowledge in the following areas:
– Line Specific: Line Work Safety, Distribution and Construction
Standards, Hot Stick Skills, 15kv Gloving, Grounding, Switching
and Tagging, Circuit Maps and System Diagrams, Tie Capabilities,
Trouble- Shooting, Three Phase Connections, URD, etc.
– General Knowledge:
– Union Contract, Time and Material, WMS, Electrical Theory, Oil
Handling and Cleanup, Environmental Rules and Regulations.
