2nd Shift Machinist
Aerotek
Job Description
Seeking 3 machinists on 2nd shift. You will work on castings mostly the size of a washing machine, some the size of a microwave, and some the size of a basketball. The role involves mostly OEM work, but some repair work as well. You will run either or both Milling or Turning machines, working on Fanuc and Okuma controls. Milling machines are mostly 3-4 axis, with some new machines capable of up to 5 axis. You will do 1 setup per week, running all repeat parts, with some different sizes. Light setup experience is acceptable, but you will need to be trained to perform fully. Candidates must monitor both machines, track parts progress, spot check diameters, hole sizes, etc. You must verify current positions, completed measurements, and ensure the program input will work out. Adjustments may be necessary to stay on track. Measuring parts with calipers, pin gauges, and home-grown gauges made with eye beams and dials.
