Speech Pathologist II – Full Time NMC, Outpatient

Atlantic Health System is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join the energetic and innovative team of healthcare professionals in their Atlantic Rehabilitation Division in Newton as a Full-Time Speech Pathologist. This is a full-time position in which the candidate will enjoy the full array of benefits, as they provide their services during the day and also two nights a week.

The Ideal candidate will be r esponsible for providing a full range of speech pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the positions qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Diagnoses and evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
2. Plans, directs, or conducts habilitative and rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and nonorganic etiology.
3. Provides counseling and guidance and language development therapy to disabled individuals.
4. Reviews individual file to obtain background information prior to evaluation to determine appropriate tests and to ensure that adequate information is available.
5. Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
6. Develops and implements individualized plans for assigned clients to meet individual needs, interests, and abilities.
7. Evaluates and monitors individuals, using audiovisual equipment. Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performance to modify, change, or write new programs.
8. Maintains records as required by law, establishments policy, and administrative regulations.
9. Attends meetings and conferences and participates in other activities to promote professional growth.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Graduate of an Accredited Speech Pathology program.
Active NJ State License, or CFY Internship Temp License
CPR certification
