Description:

Overnight Hematology Medical Laboratory Technologist supervises operations and experiments within the laboratory.

Must Haves:

1. NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license

2. Professional experience working in hematology

3. Comfortable reading slides/manual differentials

Shift:

Overnight

Flexible – can choose from the following;

10pm – 6am

11pm – 7am

12am – 8am

1am -9am

Job responsibilities:

The overnight hematology technologist will be responsible for the following:

Reading slides, reading the different red/white blood cell counts and counting them

responsible for QC being run and correct

looking through software

validating any abnormalities from slides

urinalysis microscopy

must have good communication skills, able to communicate if instrument is down, candidates must be proactive and willing to work.

Work Environment:

Private medical lab located in Brooklyn Navy Yard. Each shift has 1-2 Techs and 3-4 lab aids
