Outreach is seeking a qualified full time Assistant Adolescent Residential Operations Manager to work in our Brentwood Adolescent Residence located in Brentwood , Long Island . The Assistant House Manager is responsible to assist in supervising the delivery of care coordination services to an adolescent population with history of substance abuse, some of whom have specialized needs (chronic medical conditions, mental health).
What You Will Do:
Provide bi-monthly, individual, agenda driven supervision for part time, per diem and overnight Substance Abuse Counselors.
Monthly chart auditing for the timely and accurate submission of all substance abuse counselors clinical paperwork.
Provide substance abuse counselors with a sense of direction and compelling purpose towards the accomplishment of goals/mission by consistently communicating and supporting employee ownership and involvement in the agency’s strategic plan and priorities.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managerial style.
Directly observes the clinical practice of employees in all formats.
Seek appropriate supervision and consultation from peers and immediate supervisor.
Provide crisis intervention when needed.
Report all clinical emergencies to Unit Director whereby using 24 hour on-call contacts effectively and efficiently.
Participate in reassessment appointments.
Provide assessments, group and family counseling as directed.
In supervision with counselors, coordinate training which supports their development in established long term goals.
Create and monitor monthly staff schedule.
Conduct yearly evaluations and give growth plans for Substance Abuse Counselors.
Oversee chart audits and ensure all deficiencies are corrected. Frequency of audits will be indicated by Site Director.
Approve Learning Experience/Contracts created by counselors in a manner commensurate with their developmental level in this area.
Review the weekly package, facilitate package meeting and coordinate the delivery of the package to the family In-House Meeting.
Adhere to Professional and Ethical Responsibilities as noted in the Outreach Project Policy and Procedure Manual.
Participate in special family events throughout the year.
Participate in Parent Support Group, as needed.
Who You Are:
CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or higher preferred, with 2-3 years of experience in substance abuse and experience in a residential / adolescent Setting
Must be able to work the required schedule
Extensive knowledge of community resources available to clients who are diagnosed with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, chronic medical conditions
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
Ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performance teams that achieve program objectives
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse interdisciplinary team
Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to travel among assigned sites and locations as needed.
