Mainframe Install/Maintenance Systems Programmer

Description:

MUST come onsite to Albany the first week for onboarding, 100% remote after — travel is reimbursable

MUST sit on the EST/CST timezone

MUST be a USC

Required

1. 5 years experience with SMP/E software installation and maintenance

2. 5 years experience with z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, USS, and IBM Utilities.

3. Experience troubleshooting system issues including working with vendors in obtaining/creating a resolution

z/OS Installation and Maintenance Systems Programmer. Responsibilities include all aspects for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting the z/OS operating system and all related software/applications running on an IBM mainframe. Must have a strong understanding of SMP/E, IBM Utilities, Exits and Usermods.

Primary duties include:

Software Installation, upgrades, and fixes using SMP/E

Troubleshooting system issues including working with vendors in obtaining/creating a resolution.

Assisting agency clients in system related work and issues.

Assist in the training of new staff.

Provide support for the existing DR process utilizing the remote datacenter.
