Radiology Technical Administrator

Job Summary:
Upstate’s Radiology Department is in search of a Technical Administrator who will oversee the management of operations including coordination with the Practice Administrator, some interaction with the Chairman, Radiologists, and UH Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Staff
Recruitment and hiring of technical personnel.
Management of technical staff.
Ensuring adequate technical staffing levels.
Employee development and training
Annual technical staff evaluations.
Resolves disciplinary/concerns.
Clerical Staff
Coordinate office tasks with Office Manager
Office Scheduling
Patient Flow
Patient Care
Ensure practice delivers excellent patient care.
Provide resolutions regarding patient concerns or complaints.
Quality Assurance
Quality Control of patient images.
Review and revise UH policies with UH staff.
Formulate protocols with physicians.
Coordination of activities to ensure positive outcomes of biannual inspections by the N.Y.S. Dept. of Health and inspections by the accrediting agency, DNV.
Maintains accreditation status with the ACR.
Schedules mandatory continuing education programs for technical staff and CPR training.
Performs and/or oversees all QA testing and coordination of physicist QA testing.
Project Management
Helps with managing large scale projects to enhance/expand the practice.
Runs various reports for the Practice Administrator as needed. Daily interaction with the Practice Administrator.
Excellent communication skills needed. He/she will be expected to have a good working relationship with all referring offices, both physicians and staff.
Will need to be able to answer calls at times while he/she is out of the office.
Equipment/Supplies
Coordination of equipment maintenance.
Orders of supplies for all modalities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
NYS Medical Radiography Licensed
ARRT Registered
5 years or more of Management experience
CPR Certified by time of appointment
Have good understanding of Article 28
Must possess the ability to work alone, confident to make high level decisions, able to lead and guide others work and able to take directions from others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extremely knowledgeable of Radiology office operations.
Work Days:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
