Job Summary:

Responsible for providing lab based and customer-site service, calibrations, and support according to our approved processes and procedures for EMC test and amplifier equipment. This position requires hands on experience with troubleshooting repairing, testing, and calibrating of EMC test equipment and amplifier equipment. Perform unit and system level tests to various standards and problem solve with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform in-house repair, calibration, alignment, and adjustment of EMC test and amplifier equipment.
– Perform customer-site repair, setup, alignment, and calibration of equipment
– Read and interpret schematics and block diagrams

– Must be able to properly use a soldering iron, spectrum and network analyzer, signal generators, sweep generators, oscilloscope, power meters, and other RF related equipment.

– Issue accredited performance reports and records for all repairs and calibrated equipment
– Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry as required to meet equipment specifications
– Analyze and interpret simple test data
– Analysis of equipment setup and verification requirements according to various EMC related standards such as ISO 7637, IEC 61000-4-x, MIL-STD 461 and DO-160.
– Up to 20% travel may be required:

Documentation:

– Maintain accurate repair records and test reports on all returned products, and insure they are entered in the ERP system service module
– Scan all documentation and attach to work order via document handling in the ERP system
– Prepare internal estimate of turnaround time for repairs
– Enter repair information in ERP system

Minimum Qualifications:

– Due to the nature of ARs programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
– Associates degree in Electronics, plus 3 or more years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience in calibration and repair of electronic equipment
– Technician (troubleshooting and repair) experience preferred
– Proficiency with oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, multimeter and function generators
– Exceptional organizational and logistical skills required to manage schedules, travel, certificates, and reporting
– Ability to interact with customers and manage their questions
– Excellent oral and written communications skills
– Knowledge of ISO 17025 procedures and requirements preferred
– The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance
– Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $70,000

Salary Maximum: $90,000
