THE POSITION
The Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation (BEI) is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join its team of professional conduct investigators. This esteemed bureau is responsible for probing into claims of misconduct, ensuring adherence to established standards, laws, rules, and regulations across 29 different licensing boards and commissions. By becoming a part of this vital team, you will play a crucial role in upholding integrity and accountability within various professional fields.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing investigations related to claims of misconduct and breaches of laws, regulations, and standards set forth by professional and occupational licensing boards and commissions under the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs. You will collaborate closely with your supervisor and prosecuting attorneys to ensure comprehensive collection of factual information. The position requires travel to various locations within a designated geographic area. You will be tasked with gathering facts, reviewing, and assessing information and documents, as well as managing legal documentation. There may be instances where your presence is required to provide testimony during hearings or legal proceedings. Additionally, you will conduct in-person interviews and produce detailed, accurate, and timely reports. Proficiency with various office equipment and software is also essential for this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, at the discretion of the program area and supervisors, based on operational needs.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.
The position is headquartered in King of Prussia (Montgomery County); however, the majority of this position will be fieldwork in Philadelphia County.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years as a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector; or
Five years of investigative experience; or
One year of investigative experience and a bachelors degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year of investigative experience.

Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Drivers License.
