SAIC is seeking a top-notch Facilities Project Manager to join our talented team in Chantilly, VA. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
This position is responsible for providing the project and programmatic management expertise for the coordination, planning, management, and prioritization of design projects for the Client, ranging in value from $1M to $25M or more.
In this role you will serve as an interface between the client; stakeholders; Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support; customers; and the architectural/engineering contractor on matters related to requirements, technical accuracy, prioritization, and project execution.
You will serve as a Design Project Manager overseeing and managing the tasks and functions related to the Client’s design and studies. The responsibilities include:
Act as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with U.S. government representatives at multiple levels.
Ensure deliverables are complete and accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget.
Maintain document control.
Advocacy and justification for budget and prioritization.
Develop and deliver contract documentation, including but not limited to Statements of Work, cost and schedule estimates, and status reports.
Input and maintain project management data in the client’s system of record.
Analyze and take the initiative to improve on organizational processes.
Enrich design concepts through knowledge, research, and proficient application of technical and visualization skills.
Construction submittal reviews.
Attend site visits and collaborate with project/construction managers during the construction phase to maintain design intent, quality control, address any technical challenges, and answer submittals.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Bachelors degree in facilities related engineering or architectural field with 9 years of relevant experience in IC, DOD or Commercial Sector.
Note that relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
Demonstrated experience overseeing contracts.
Demonstrated track record of adhering to tight schedules with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of the Client’s operations.
Familiarity with facility architectural, electrical and mechanical systems.
Master’s Degree in an Architectural or Engineering Field.
Project Management Institutes’ PMP or equivalent project management certification.
