Job Description

This position is in the Securities Administration Services (SAS) group. Responsible for processing the most complex transactions or reconcilements relating to loan or security payments. Duties include:

Providing remittance and correction information to servicer

Monitoring and analysis of pooled loans to determine non-compliance, communication of information to investors

Evaluate servicer performance to ensure compliance with stated agreements

Participates in system enhancements by attending user group and testing.

Identify and communicate processing exceptions that are relevant to similar series across individual portfolios.

Incumbents must maintain a working knowledge of their area of expertise, including Collateral, Securities, Default or Trust Administration.

May train junior level staff and review junior staff processing and reconciliations.

May propose recommendations and implement automated solutions on an ongoing basis.

Summary:

Candidates will be responsible for data entry, accounting, and analyses of pooled loan data from many different mortgage servicers. Candidates can expect to be using multiple database systems including Microsoft Excel regularly to ensure that any variance in data is identified and accounted for. Research and interpret all controlling legal documents as issues arise with collateral or bond payments. Candidates will be working with Collateral, Securities, Default and Trust Administration. The environment is extremely team oriented and deadline driven as analyses must be complete at certain points during the month which will require overtime.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree in relevant field (Math, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, etc.)

Experience and exposure to financial services, corporate finance, and business operations highly preferred

Strong Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Table, V Look Up, etc.) required

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Columbia, Maryland and some days remote.

Work Environment

This role is based in a team-oriented, task-based environment. The position offers a hybrid flexible schedule with some training conducted on-site and large team meetings held monthly on-site. The role is deadline-driven and may require overtime to ensure all analyses are completed timely.
