Overview
JUNIOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST(FS&S):
Bowhead is seeking a qualified Junior Property Management Specialist to support our Facilities, Services & Supply (FS&S) contract located in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
Review Universal Work Queue (UWQ) in GCSS-MC for assigned tasks
Process adjustment transactions
Respond to program Service Requests (SRs) for initial asset entry into the appropriate APSR (aka birthing)
Validate documentation to include serial number status in the APSR, receiving DODAACs requested are in GCSS-MC, NSN/NIIN correspond to supporting documentation, and verify authorized personnel have reviewed/signed/validated supporting documentation for birthing
Submit follow-up task notes in SRs for issues found in the request
File supporting documents in the approved repository location
Review published checklists for birthing actions to ensure accuracy and avoid rework
Assist Marine Corps Logistics Command with requested capital asset FAM retirement actions
Assist in preparation of the Money Value Gain-Loss statement and documents for Accountable Officer signature
Assist in the preparation of scheduled inventories per the published fiscal year Physical Inventory Control Plan (PICP), one of which the command will identify as the official annual inventory, to include preparing inventory documents, conducting causative research, inducting approved transactions in the APSR as a result of account reconciliation per established timelines
Review and perform material redistribution requests as submitted by command commodities
Conduct parent/child configuration of assets as requested via service request and task in GCSS-MC
Qualifications
High School Diploma or BA/BS and three (3) years of relevant experience.
Desired Skills:
Proficient in the use of personal computers with the ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in the use of on-line government property databases is preferred.
Actively participate in continuous development and enhancement of the property control system.
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Inspection and internal audit skills are a plus.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 10-25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
