We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Security Specialist to work out of Ft. Eustis, VA.
Essential Duties:
Provide security support services to the Security/Visitor Control Office for the TDD-A Fort Eustis Campus.
Process/verification of personnel security clearances.
Provide physical security of safes, keys, and locks, OPSEC, and industrial security.
Provide logging and tracking of DD254 packets.
Monitor and control the access of government employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by ensuring people have proper access.
Ensure that prohibited and restricted items do not find their way in or out of the building.
Diligently monitor your restricted area.
Provide excellent customer service to all employees and visitors.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings.
Exhibit excellent communication in every interaction.
Ensure attention to detail.
Required Qualifications:
Four years of experience.
Must possess knowledge of a full range of security principles, concepts, practices, products and services; methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability; implementing mitigating improvement; and disseminating security procedures/processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to work independently.
The ability to adapt to change within high-volume, fast-paced, and slow-paced environments.
Education/ Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
