Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Engages in electrical wiring and integrates electrical wires into products (basic wiring tasks). Utilizes hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or similar tools. Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panels. Connects component wires to circuits and wires between individual component leads. Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. Positions or aligns components and parts. Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conducts quality control checks. Cleans and maintains the work area and equipment, including tools. Prepares work by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
