Job Summary:
The Commissioning Engineer acts as team lead for Substation and Protection & Control (P&C) projects. The Commissioning Engineering will be responsible for all activities while on site, including physical inspection of the substation, protection and control (P&C) testing, and overseeing accompanying team members.While not in the field, youll develop/refine commissioning and testing procedures, prepare for future commissioning projects as well as work with design teams on substation projects. This position requires an understanding of substation physical and P&C design. One must also understand protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection.

The salary range for this position starts at $100,000 – $140,000, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. Overtime is available while in the field. We also offer profit sharing bonuses to share in the success!

Who You Are:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
4 years of experience in Commissioning
In lieu of a degree, 4 years of additional experience is acceptable
Detailed knowledge of relay systems and substation equipment
Understanding of substation physical design and P&C
Understanding of protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop commissioning plans for substation projects including physical design and protection and control (P&C).
Develop relay settings files for SEL, GE and Basler, relays from protection summary sheets and AC/DC schematics.
Responsible for testing of current transformers, protective relays.
Responsible for SCADA testing.
Adjust group operated switches.
Fully function test relay panels.
Collaborate with design teams.
