The University of Miami/UHealth department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Operations to work at the UHealth Hialeah Distribution Center.
Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations manages and coordinates the acquisition, transportation, and storage of supplies and equipment for the University of Miami. This position will ensure all supplies and equipment are purchased, received, inspected, and stored at the appropriate facility. This position will also assist with the University of Miami enterprise fleet inventory to include acquisition, operations, and maintenance. Additionally, the position will also oversee mail services covering University of Miami/UHealth and its satellites throughout South Florida. The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations will report to the Associate Vice President of Supply Chain Operations.
Core Responsibilities
Monitors material requirements and tracks movement between facilities organization wide.
Ensures and adheres to all warehouse and industrial trucks related OSHA compliance requirements.
Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet the organization’s production schedules and/or inventory requirements.
Ensures all necessary supplies and par levels are maintained for all assigned areas.
Manages receiving, inspections, and delivers all supplies.
Manages the maintenance of all order-related documentation and tracking information.
Approves all critical supply logs for inventory supplies throughout the organization.
Analyzes and reviews product use and coordinates ordering to ensure best pricing.
Works with other departments to resolve inventory and supply order issues, ensure timely deliveries, and address stop shipments or credit holds.
Oversees the Mailroom operations covering all University of Miami and UHealth including outpatient centers, satellites and UMMGs (if applicable).
Reviews mailroom productivity reports it ensure continuous improvement. Works with mailroom manager to optimize process flow.
Assist with the University of Miami and UHealth fleet operations, including the management of all types of vehicles (includes golf carts, side-by-sides, etc.).
Develops and implements effective strategies to improve fleet operations, management, and efficiency. This includes the implementation, proper use, and maintenance of the Fleet Management System (FMS).
Monitors and adheres to all DOT, federal, state, county and municipal vehicle regulations.
Analyzes data and develops reports on fleet performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Assists with fleet management systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect fleet operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration or another relevant field. Masters in related field preferred.
Minimum 5 year of relevant experience
