Jacobs is growing our hydrogeology team to support our client’s future needs for hydrogeologic characterization, groundwater and integrated modeling, wellfield services, water resource sustainability and resiliency, water resources planning, and permitting. We’re looking for a mid-level highly motivated Hydrogeologist to work with our team on various projects for local utilities, local, state, and federal agencies, and private-sector clients.

Based in Tampa, you’ll learn from other experienced scientists, engineers, and project managers who are ready to mentor you, and you’ll pass your knowledge on to others. Each day, you will be an important team member with opportunities to work independently, with peers, and with those junior to you. You should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project in our diverse and fast-paced office. Candidates should be detailed oriented, quality driven, and team-focused.

As a Hydrogeologist, you’ll have a chance to work on Water Resources and Water Supply projects in Florida, across the US, and internationally. You’ll gain valuable experience in a variety of water supply well testing, investigation, rehabilitation, and construction projects and have the opportunity to provide subcontractor oversight. However, the majority of your time will spent in the office working on data evaluation and interpretation, analytical and numerical modeling, report writing and coordinating logistics for field activities. • Master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience

• Professional experience in hydrogeological field work such as well drilling and construction and hydrogeological testing

• Professional experience with lithologic classification

• Professional experience with groundwater sampling

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs

• Graphical Information Systems (GIS) experience

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Professional experience in groundwater modeling using software such as MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, FEFLOW, Groundwater Desktop, IHM, SEAWAT.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• 10 years of professional experience

• Professional Geologist (PG) license in the State of Florida

• Strong hydrogeologic characterization experience

• Surface water modeling experience
