Maintenance Technician

The Village School of Naples continues to grow and is accepting resumes for a Maintenance Technician to execute work related to the maintenance of school grounds and buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Under direction of the TVS Maintenance Supervisor, execute the work orders, projects, repair and maintenance jobs.
– Complete event set-up and break-down, which may require occasional nights / weekends.
– Follow quality, health and safety rules, guidelines and regulations.
– Inspect site regularly to identify problems and maintenance needs and troubleshoot with supervisor to address and prioritize.
– Facilitate safety inspections, as necessary.
– Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

– Over 2 years of experience in facility/grounds maintenance.
– Associates or technical degree is preferred.
– Professional Certifications are a plus.
– Experience with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
– Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English and effectively communicate with maintenance personnel and campus staff.
– Computer capability with MS Office products.
– Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures, and maintenance.
– Physical requirements include the ability to use hand and power tools, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
