This is a job for a Project Manager with a company located in the Hattiesburg, MS area.

Job Summary: The Project Manager plays a key role in project estimating, planning, budgeting and identifying resources needed.  The Project Manager role includes developing estimates, performing onsite evaluations and continuous monitoring of project production and budgets to ensure all set guidelines are met, as well as identify elements of project designs and construction likely to give rise to disputes and/or claims.

Responsibilities: Excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers to develop and manage an implementation plan. Act as a company representative with the client, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors. Understanding of basic accounting principles with a business mindset. Effective time management and logical decision-making ability. Capacity to handle pressure. Willingness to travel extensively across the construction sites, as well as spend time in the office. Strong focus on quality. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important. Must have knowledge in Microsoft Project. Ability to take direction and carry out projects from inception to completion. Work with field personnel and subcontractors. Must be able to organize resources including people, equipment and materials. Must have knowledge and training in estimating with precision and accuracy. Must be willing to participate in continuing education seminars, classes, and certifications. Knowledge and understanding of the importance of all safety requirements of a project. Communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are key to the position.

Qualifications: The minimum requirements for this entry level position will be a bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction engineering/management.  Project management experience, co-op and internship, as well as other certificates, are a plus.
