Position Summary:

Xylem is looking for a Field Service Technician to service our customers in the Columbus, MS surrounding areas.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician:

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation service and maintenance of our water purification equipment within our Heavy Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged. This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization

Takes care of company property

Troubleshoots systems for mechanical electrical equipment conditions

Identify and remedy safety issues both Company and Customer owned equipment

Direct interfacing with customers

Potentially at multiple sites with multiple technologies

Position Requirements:

Required: HS diploma or equivalent

Required: Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices

Must have customer service experience

Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability

Able to operate company service vehicle safely

Able to pass background check : pre-employment drug screen

Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed

50% or more daily/local

Pay range: $25.00- $27.00/hourly

Salary range:

$34,000.00 – $54,500.00
