Program Specialist – part-time – Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter
Primary Purpose and Responsibilities
– Monitor resident Activities
– Conduct resident intakes in accordance with admission criteria;
– Complete accurate and timely written documentation of resident activities and other situations that occured during the work shift;
– Ensure resident compliance with agency regulations;
– Maintain safe, sanitary, and orderly conditions within the Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter-MSP facilities;
– Inform the Program Manager of any special conditions, events or emergencies as they relate to residents or the agency facilities;
– Responsible for working with the Case Manager as directed;
– Attend staff, special event, and all other meetings as directed by the Executive Director;
– Communicate effectively with other organizations within the community as may be necessary in relation to services needed for and provided to residents;
– Answer the telephone and distribute messages appropriately;
– Ensure the preparation of meals;
– Ensure the daily resident chore list is completed;
– Other duties as may be assigned by the Program manager or Executive Director.
Duties
– Direct client contact, 90% of time
– Client reporting activities, 10% of time

Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter is a 2nd chance employer, case by case basis. This is a part-time position, 20-25 hours per week, must be able to work nights and weekends. Flexibility for vacations and call offs. Shifts will be 8-12 hour shifts.
