Aerial & Underground Communication Foreman – NW Ohio

Top Skills and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

Effectively lead and manage a team to ensure all members are working efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include task delegation, team motivation, and conflict resolution.

2. Technical Expertise in Fiber Optics:

Proficient in fiber optic installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Familiar with industry-standard protocols and equipment, including splicing, testing, and terminating fiber optic cables.

3. Strong Communication Skills:

Able to communicate clearly with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood, safety protocols are followed, and any issues are promptly addressed.

Primary Job Duties – Aerial Foreman:

• Oversee all facets of aerial outside plant construction.

• Utilize bucket access and perform back easement climbing as needed.

• Interpret and work from construction prints specific to aerial strand and fiber optic cable installation.

• Drive and operate aerial line trucks safely and efficiently.

• Provide hands-on support for aerial installations when required.

Primary Job Duties – Underground Foreman:

• Manage underground construction projects, including trenching, conduit installation, and directional boring.

• Safely operate and oversee the use of underground machinery, such as directional boring machines and trenchers.

• Read and interpret construction prints and utility markings specific to underground installations.

• Coordinate and perform troubleshooting and maintenance for underground infrastructure.

• Ensure proper installation and protection of underground fiber optic and communication lines.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Successful completion of background and drug screening.

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
