Position Summary:
The Inventory Process Control Coordinators (IPCs) coordinate all aspects of inventory control, accuracy and reconciliation while driving transactional excellence and continuous improvement. Through leadership skills, they assist Supervisors in training associates on Standard Work and expectations of the department. IPCs act independently in resolving issues, are the subject matter expert to warehouse operations, and assist warehouse operators with more complex issues
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Inspection, Planning, Customer Service, Sourcing and other internal departments to deliver resolution to inventory issues (i.e. non-conforming products, receiving discrepancies, expediting orders).
Prepares and manages reports related to inventory transactions within the Warehouse and transactions occurring outside of it. They are responsible for driving accountability for these reports through collaboration efforts that will ensure Transactional Excellence.
Solves root causes for day-to-day issues. Recognizes problems as improvement opportunities and eliminates the root causes of the problems by implementing appropriate sustainable solutions.
Responsible for initiating and driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures through submission of Swagelok Improvement System (SIS) requests (including standard work updates) and assists in resolving corrective actions. Participates in continuous improvement events, including facilitation of events.
Coordinates all aspects of the cycle counting program and auditing that supports it; includes running auditing reports, overseeing associates performing the audits, researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Perform Layered Process Audits (LPAs) based on the monthly schedule and drives improvements through their findings.
Assists in training Warehouse associates as needed, including updating training checklists
Initiates communication with Warehouse associates to resolve inventory issues and picking errors. Uses Customer Action Process (CAP) system to track, communicate and resolve distribution related issues
Able to lead Discipline Problem Solving (DPS) process in driving preventative measures for Warehouse operations.
Leads by example regarding work ethics, attendance, customer service, collaboration and teamwork. Lives the core values of the organization. Assists in mentoring and helping develop other warehouse associates, including Associate IPCs.
Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and procedures through submission of SIS requests (including standard work updates) and assist in resolving corrective actions. Participates in, including facilitate, continuous improvement events.
Assists in all aspect of Warehouse operations as necessary, including picking, packing, receiving and shipping.
Provides feedback to supervisors on temporary and Swagelok associates.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
3 years of warehouse experience, preferably at Swagelok
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, ROADS and Control) preferred
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills; including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
High school diploma or equivalent
