Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
– Support day-to-day needs of crib team.
– Support crib relocation and storage plan projects.

Typical task breakdown:
– Crib 88, Crib 95, Crib UM (including off-site).
– Develop, plan, and execute storage plan projects.
– Develop, plan and execute crib relocation projects.
– Crib attendant daily work oversight.
– Report relevant performance evaluation information to Crib Manager and execute employee development plans.
– Conduct routine performance discussions with crib attendants.
– Training new crib attendants to the standard work, following the established training matrix.
– Crib safety process management.
– Reporting crib safety incidents to the Crib Manager and assisting with root cause resolution.
– Ensuring training records for crane, order picker, and fork truck licensing are up to date.
– Routine review of standard work for accuracy. Work with Crib Manager to update standard work as needed.
– Material storage planning. FIFO, bin location plans, pick efficiency, inventory accuracy. Incudes off-site cribs.
– Ensure crib disbursement and receiving grief is resolved on a timely basis, obtaining proof of delivery from suppliers when needed.
– Resolve mis-directed delivery, material packing list grief, and paperwork receipt issues with Caterpillar Receiving Dock and suppliers.
– Execute expedites and couriers for hot crib material on an as-needed basis.
– Reviewing stagnant crib material for obsolescence and surplus opportunity using established reports and with subject matter expert support from Maintenance.
– Ensure date-related material (expired material) process is followed.
– Work with Tool Control to resolve issues requiring Tool Control miscellaneous transactions (count verification, shipped-not-received, wrong receipt, credits).
– Execute cycle count process and result reporting.
– Execute bi-annual inventory count process.
– Ensuring crib attendant needs, questions, and concerns are addressed.
– Enter maintenance work orders on crib equipment as needed.
– Enter requests to CI card process as needed.
– Communicate with and resolve requests and issues from all levels of shop personnel, escalate as needed.
– Cover crib attendant absences when needed.
– Work overtime as needed.
– Daily update to the Crib Manager.
– Escalate urgent problems to the Crib Manager as needed.
– Ensure completion of requests made by Tool Control.
– Complete any special tasks requested by the Crib Manager or Facilities Engineering Factory Manager.
– Microsoft Teams and Excel will be used daily on company-assigned PC.

Interaction with team:
– Work directly with Crib Attendants & Tool Control Analysts
– Work to support facility management/supervisors/team leads/employees for all production and support areas to ensure they are getting the materials they need to keep our operation moving.
– Report to Crib Manager

Work environment:
– Office
– Tool Crib / Warehouse
– Travel required to off-site warehouse locations (within Lafayette). Always report to main plant first.

Education/Experience:
– Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.
– PMI or PMP certification preferred.
– 2-4 years experience required.

Technical Skills
(Required)
– Microsoft Excel Intermediate to Advanced skill (must be able to use referential formulas such as VLookup). Be able to use Excel to create work templates.
– Microsoft PowerPoint experience
– Excellent spelling & grammar
– Excellent typing skills
– Must have a valid driver’s license
(Desired)
– SQL query, Microsoft Power Quey
– Power BI or other business intelligence tools that utilize large data sets
– Forklift or other industrial vehicle experience. Willing to drive a box-truck.
