General Summary:

The Enhancing Strengths and Supports (ESS) program is a community-based program designed to support youth and families through education, mental health services, enhancing life skills and emotional wellbeing. Under the general supervision of the Lead Supervisor, performs a variety of functions related to case coordination of youth. This position works in conjunction with the youths support team and acts as a liaison between court personnel, families and various social and educational providers to provide information and collaboratively plan for youths individual treatment programs and transition plan for continues services. Responsible for the safety, welfare and security of youth, staff, visitors and the facility, and conducts routine duties associated with daily supervision and intervention with youth. Regularly performs duties associated with Youth Development Specialist position. 

Employment Qualifications:

Education and Experience: 

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in the field of Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related Human Service field.

In lieu of a bachelors degree, a candidate must possess a minimum of two (2) years of college (equivalent 60 credit hours) in one of the above mentioned fields and  two (2) years work experience in a detention/treatment institutional setting working with at risk youth.
